Pesto Sauce/Dip

 

1 cup pine nuts

3 small garlic cloves, diced (I used ½ of a clove)

3 tbsp. water, or more for a thinner sauce (if making a dip, use no water)

1 tbsp. sea salt, to taste (I used ½ tbsp.)

1/3 cup olive oil

1-2 cups basil, chopped (I used 1 cup)

 

Soak the pine nuts for 5-10 minutes. In a food processor or high-speed blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.

 

Makes 1½-2 cups
